How I got there

On the 17/09/01 I caught the slow overnight ferry from Santorini to Piraeus,
its a long trip and costs 6,300 drachma or €18.49.
I had passed through Athens briefly on my way to the islands
but now I had a few days to explore the city.

Where I stayed

The hostel in Athens cost 2,850(1,890 + 960) drachma,
 which included breakfast at the building across the street.

The Acropolis ( 1,000Lira or €2.93 )
The Olympic Stadium
The view over all of Athens from the Lykavittos hills
The view of the Acropolis from Fillopappas
The Agora 

Paros

How I got there

On the 17/09/01 I caught the slow night ferry from Piraeus to Paros because 
I had missed the last ferry to Santorini.
 

Where I stayed
I arrived after midnight with a Brazillian guy I had who also mad the ferry and bus trip from Italy
and was wondering where I would stay, but it wasn't a problem as loads of locals were waiting offering rooms.
The island was silent, no sound at all except our footsteps as we wandered
up the little narrow labrinth like alleyways with the air still warm after the days sunshine. 

Main Attraction

Ferry Hub to other islands
Awakening to a cockeral crowing at dawn makes a change from the bustling cities.
Didn't stay long enough to find out much more.
